Answering your questions about Islam ...
and we know you have lots of them!
ISIF is dedicated to clearing up misconceptions about Islam. Since 9/11 Islam has been the focus of the media, and many people have formed opinions about Islam after hearing news reports and reading newspaper articles, this can lead to fear and disunity in communities. We want to answer all the questions which people have, but are afraid to ask. We believe that these are not ‘difficult questions’ which muslims should try to brush under the carpet, they are valid concerns which people have, and they should be addressed and discussed. We cannot move forward as united communities if we do not address these issues. At ISIF we believe that we can jointly strengthen our
communities, regardless of our backgrounds and religions. We can do this if we talk to each other and discuss our concerns. So lets start now, we invite you to contact us with your questions or comments.

Da’wah -
Islam cannot be judged by media portrayals or the actions of some Muslims. We urge individuals to learn more about Islam from reliable sources and make up their own minds. At ISIF we are committed to providing free information, answering your questions and providing support. We promise not to shy away from any questions, and if after hearing the answers you do not agree, that’s ok as well.

Community Support Programme
Due to an overwhelming number of applications received, we are currently not accepting any new applications
Despite the differences in colour, background and faith etc., we are all brothers and sisters in humanity, and as such we need to support and help each other. Especially those in our society who are vulnerable or experiencing difficulties. This is particularly important in the current economic climate.
At ISIF we want to make a difference, even if its something small. Which is why we have started our Community Support Programme.
We aim to offer support in various ways, such as (but not limited to) food parcels, purchase of essential items and paying for prescription charges. Applications are open to anyone, regardless of race, background or faith.
Please note that applications can ONLY be considered via our Online Application Form and will NOT be considered if received in ANY other form.
New Muslim Support Line
New to Islam? Thinking about converting? Confused?
This can be a difficult time. New reverts to Islam can face many problems such as loneliness, family issues, integrating into the muslim community, to name but a few. If you have converted to Islam (or are thinking about it) and are facing any problems, or just want someone to talk to, please give our support line a call. If you send us a text or an email with your contact details we are happy to call you. Call 07927 129 521. We aim to have this line available 7 days a week, but if you do not get an answer, please leave a message and we’ll call you back. We can also arrange one to one support and mentoring in Leicester.
